Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Camino mobile application and related services ("Camino," "we," "us"). By downloading or using Camino you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Camino is (and is not)

• Camino provides general information, study materials, and self-help organizational tools for the U.S. immigration process.
• Camino cannot tell you whether you qualify for any immigration benefit. Any requirement checklists or practice results reflect only the answers you entered — they are not legal determinations, eligibility opinions, or predictions of outcome.
• Using Camino does not create an attorney-client relationship. Information you enter is not protected by attorney-client privilege.
• Camino is not affiliated with USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, or any government agency. Official forms and instructions are available free at uscis.gov.

2. Document tools

• Camino's document tools (including the N-400 organizer) record your own answers, at your specific direction, and place them verbatim onto copies of official government forms for your personal review.
• Camino does not select forms for you, suggest or complete answers, review your answers for legal sufficiency or accuracy, or apply the law to your facts. Questions requiring judgment are left blank for you to complete.
• Camino does not file anything with any government agency. You are solely responsible for reviewing every page of any generated document against the current official form, completing it, signing it, and submitting it.
• Generated documents are produced on your device from a bundled copy of the official form. Form editions change; always confirm you are filing the current edition from uscis.gov.

3. Accuracy and changes in the law

Immigration law, procedures, fees, and forms change frequently. We work to keep content current, but we make no promise that any information is accurate, complete, or up to date, and content may not reflect the most recent legal developments. Always verify against official sources before acting.

4. Subscriptions

• Camino Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription ($2.99/month or $19.99/year in the U.S., with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers), billed through your Apple account. The App Store shows the price in your local currency before you confirm.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide truthful, accurate information in anything you prepare for filing. Submitting false information to the U.S. government is a federal crime.
• Your data is stored on your device (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device's security and for backing up your data.
• Use the app only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

CAMINO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP IS ERROR-FREE, THAT CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT, OR THAT USE OF THE APP WILL LEAD TO ANY PARTICULAR IMMIGRATION OUTCOME.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMINO, ITS AUTHORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY IMMIGRATION OUTCOME, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
