Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Camino ("we," "us") is an educational study and preparation app for the U.S. immigration journey. This policy explains what data the app handles. We designed Camino to keep your information on your device.

What we collect

On your device only. Your profile, study progress, streak, documents checklist, and settings are stored locally on your device (in the app's storage). This information does not leave your device and is not sent to us. We do not operate servers that receive it.

We do not collect: your name, email, contact info, location, browsing activity, or any analytics that identify you. Camino has no user accounts in this version.

Subscriptions

Camino offers an optional paid subscription ("Camino Plus") with a free trial. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details.

To manage your subscription entitlement, we use RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat processes your purchase status and an anonymous app-user identifier to keep your subscription working across your devices. It does not receive your name or contact information from us. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

How your information is used

Only to make the app work for you: to save your progress on your device and to unlock Camino Plus features if you subscribe.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. The only third parties involved are Apple (payments) and RevenueCat (subscription status), as described above.

When it opens, the app also downloads one small public file with recent visa bulletin dates from our website, which is hosted on GitHub Pages. That request contains no personal information. As with any web request, GitHub can see your device's IP address. If the file can't be reached, the app uses the copy built into it.

Tracking

We do not track you across other apps or websites. Camino does not use advertising identifiers.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you can remove it any time from Me → Clear all data, or by deleting the app. Clearing your data also cancels Camino's reminders and deletes any files the app created for sharing.

Your Social Security number is never saved: you type it only when making the N-400 draft. If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, those backups may include the rest of Camino's data until they are replaced.

Children

Camino is a general-audience educational app and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
